Next spring, we are planning a concert at St Mary’s Bolsterstone. The concert will be held in the evening of Saturday 27th April 2024. The main event will be Vivaldi Gloria, (with first half pieces from the choir, our Vivaldi soloists and musicians). We are extending an invitation to people to sing with us. 

If you have sung the Gloria before, and know it well you are invited to join us as our guests. (You will need to provide your own score.) The expectation would be that you joined us for the following key rehearsals at the Venue, Manchester Road, Stocksbridge S36 1DY

–  Tuesday 16th January 2024 from 7.30pm

– Tuesday 26th March from 7.30pm

– Tuesday 23rd April from 7.30pm

–  Saturday 27 April from 3pm prior to the concert at 7pm at St Mary’s Bolsterstone

We also welcome people who don’t know the work to join us as temporary members. Starting from January, we will run our regular Tuesday rehearsals at the Venue. We will be learning the Vivaldi in the first half, from 7.30 pm – 8.45pm, as we did for the Sprig of Thyme, and our other pieces until 9.30.

We will be having a break for February half term (Tuesday 13th) and Easter (Tuesday April 2nd and 9th)

Unsurprisingly, we are likely to be able to accommodate any men who would like to sing with us! But we might have to ration places for sopranos and altos if there is a lot of interest. We are really looking forward to singing the Gloria, and to having the opportunity to sing with some old friends and new.
